Poolside Mudroom Renovation
With an improved layout and fresh new palette of paints and finishes, this mudroom has become a favorite spot in the house. Consisting of a laundry area, hallway, utility space, and bathroom, this renovation provides direct access to natural light, custom storage solutions, and a gem-like bathroom. The client wanted the space to feel more open and functional. The new amenities provide beautiful support to the poolside activity of grandchildren and the client's passion for gardening.

Walls were removed to create one continuous open space for laundering, hanging hats and pool towels, and using the utility sink.
This window was once enclosed inside an awkwardly shaped bathroom at the end of the hall. By reorganizing the space, the existing half-bath and utility sink are fashioned into 2 separated spaces, giving the flexibility for simultaneous use of the utility sink and bathroom. A barn door adds a fun element to the bathroom experience.

This transitional design provides a custom hutch with a generous bench. The knee wall hides a potential mess at the sink while retaining visual openness.
Once an outdated bathroom, the new design has created a cute gem that highlights the client's love for the color green.
Wainscoting throughout the project elevates the level of refinement, provides durability, and extends the eye upward to enhance the visual perception of height in the space.

After the renovation:
The space feels light and airy. Natural light floods in from the window at the end of the hall. Additional overhead lighting and storage under the stairs maximize visibility and tidiness. Slate floor tiles tie into existing flooring in the front foyer, achieving cohesion for this beautiful home.

Before the renovation:
An enclosed laundry area ate into the hallway width. The bathroom and utility were once grouped into one room at the end of the hall, which blocked access to the window and reduced the functionality of both uses. The small format quarry tiles on the floor made the space feel smaller and outdated.
